Pioneer Typhoon SS Motor 21,000rpm Plain Shaft     

Pioneer's upgrade motor delivers 21,000 RPM at 12 volts.  Pioneer says their motors are manufactured to be more consistent in performance from one individual motor to another than is typical in the industry.  We can't verify that but we can say that the Pioneer 21K motors we have used really do haul the freight with good drivability on normal race set power with separate power to each lane. The price is lower than many other manufacturers' motor prices, and the name and RPM figure are printed on the can. In addition, Pioneer uses a distinctive cooling hole pattern, easily identifiable even if the printing is worn off.  All those factors make the Typhoon 21K a good choice as a spec motor.

This version of the motor comes with a palin (non-knurled) shaft, recommended for use with press-on or solder-on pinion gears
